Coming Soon: Fragments of Mind

With The Eminence of Bardon Roket now written and released [though the paperback is still on the horizon], I’m now moving on to finishing up my third novel. This time around it’s going to be a bit different. Instead of one story, it’s going to be a collection of short stories that I wrote a few years back. Up until now I haven’t been able to do very much with them, but I think putting them all together will create something interesting. These stories are fantasy and science fiction, humorous and serious, bound together by each character’s efforts to find out how they fit in their respective worlds.

Here’s a brief peak at what these stories are all about:

A Day in the Life of a Dark Lord – Fantasy and satire collide with the least-evil Dark Lord ever.

My Mechanical Soul – The story of the world’s first robotic detective

Pollen – A mysterious pollen has spread across the world, leaving Jace [who is allergic to the pollen] completely isolated

The Blasted Lands – A mysterious traveler is on the trail of his quarry through a bizarre, twisted world

The Watchers – Two scientists are forced to leave the confines of their research station and venture into a world they know little about

These Tattered Dreams – Two synthetic humans meet after the end of the world

Two for the Money – Lister is ripped from his comfortable life by a girl who loves adventure

Illuminus – Two boys leave the world they know to venture into the unknown

I still have a few more that may or may not make it in, depending on whether I think the basic ideas are good enough. Early May is likely to be the release window, so do look forward to hearing more about these stories in the next few weeks.
